Finding your Local Area Network (LAN) IP Address in Windows 10

If you are looking for your Wide Area Network (WAN) IP address, that is the address you use to access the Internet, just google “What is my IP Address” and Google will tell it to you.

This is for finding the IP Address of your computer on the local network. If you have a router at home and use wifi or ethernet to connect to the Internet for example.

 

Type “cmd.exe” in the search box.

Hit the enter key and you should see the command prompt.

Type “ipconfig” and hit enter. IPv4 Address would be the local network address that you are probably most concerned with.
